Berlare is often called the Palermo of the North, not because of it’s long history of crime, but thanks to the delicious fresh cannoli made here.
The fried pastry rolls, lined with chocolate on the inside, originate from Sicily. They are filled with delightfully sweet ricotta from Berlare. This ricotta is made from the seet whey left over after producing Berloumi.
Behind the creation of our cannoli lies an ancient tale of heroism, romance and the art of parachuting.
In our store, and soon in a few local shops, we will fill fresh cannoli daily. Because, they are at their crispiest when freshly filled and quickly enjoyed. You can order and pay your cannoli through our online store (pickup only) or simply drop by to get them!
How many calories are in a cannoli? Well, what can we say? “They’re packed with protein”. Plus the proteins in our cannoli are high-quality whey proteins. You can compare our cannoli to an éclair but with less fat, about the same amount of carbohydrates, and significantly more protein. Cannoli are perfect to eat for recovery after endurance sport activities.

Christmas Cannoli
Our standard cannoli filling is just ricotta and sugar. But we also make them with a twist. A sicillian classic would be with pistache or candied oranges. We will make these cannoli’s for christmas, with speculaas and christmas toppings.
