Baking and grilling Berloumi is not difficult. You want it to be warm inside, with a nice crust on the outside.    <\/mark>That&#8217;s all. As long as it has a nice salty crust. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div style=\"height:51px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\" id=\"h-berloumi-bakken\"><strong><span style=\"color:#b5c200\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Baking Berloumi<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">You can easily cut a packet of Berloumi into different shapes. In <\/mark><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#b5c200\" class=\"has-inline-color\"> <\/mark><a href=\"http:\/\/berloumi.be\/halloumi-recepten\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#b5c200\" class=\"has-inline-color\">our recipes<\/mark><\/a><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">  you will find <strong>bars, slices, cubes, sticks, French fries and triangles<\/strong>. When you heat a grill cheese like Berloumi, it also keeps its shape well.   <\/mark><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">Cut open the package completely and cut the Berloumi into slices, pieces, sticks, bars &#8230; Then dab them in the spicy oil from the package, if necessary. Berloumi can go directly into the pan. A little bit of oil is allowed but not necessary. You certainly don&#8217;t need to add extra seasoning or salt either. It may also be <strong>the best way<\/strong>.   <\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">Fry the Berloumi slices in a pan, possibly non-stick, in a very small amount of oil. The pan should be <strong>very hot<\/strong>. That way the Berloumi will be just soft enough inside, the moment it has a nice brown crust. Do not place the slices of cheese too close together. That way the moisture evaporates well. When we grill it, we always use a grill pan. But it works just as well with a grill iron, just like a panini. We&#8217;ve even made <strong>Berloumi waffles<\/strong> that way!     <\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">Rub the grill briefly with some oil, and do the same with the Berloumi slices. You then place them on the grill, turning them over a few times. Briefly run the slices of Berloumi through the oil or dab them in the marinade from the package. Make sure the barbecue grill is hot and well greased. <\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">Next, grill the Berloumi over a <strong>low to medium<\/strong> heat. Of course, you want it to be soft and warm inside and have a crust on the outside. To get a nice grilling pattern, turn the cheese frequently. Finally, place at the edge of the fire. You definitely shouldn&#8217;t do this too precisely, just like traditional fries. Throw them into the fryer, and briefly separate them with a fork. Then fry the fries at 190\u00b0C, for 1 minute. You can also wait until they have a nice brown color.    <\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">We have a very tasty recipe ourselves for <\/mark><a href=\"http:\/\/www.berloumi.be\/frietjes\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#90e233\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Berloumi fries<\/mark><\/a><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">. Berloumi can certainly go in the airfryer but the question is: why prepare grilled cheese in the airfryer?  Just because it would be less fatty is certainly not a good reason. Berloumi, and cheese in general, contains a lot of fats by itself. No matter how you prepare Berloumi; it doesn&#8217;t get much fatter.  Therefore, always eat our Berloumi with lots of vegetables; in a salad, for example.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But so our Berloumi airfry is indeed possible. In the photo above it is wrapped with a piece of finely cut bacon like our <a href=\"https:\/\/berloumi.be\/berloumi-bacon-bites\/\">Berloumi Bacon Bites<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\" id=\"h-serveren\"><strong><span style=\"color:#b5c200\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Serve<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">You serve our Berloumi very easily with other <strong>hot or lukewarm ingredients<\/strong>. Would you like to keep the cheese warm for a longer time? This is typical of a grill cheese. The cheese is also sometimes called <strong>&#8220;squeaky cheese&#8221;<\/strong> in English. This is because it makes a somewhat squeaky sound when you bite down on it.
